Wotofo Atty Cubed

Introduction

The Atty Cubed RDA by Wotofo is a box mod specific RDA, that combines precision machining and a unique design that is best suited for use with box mods. The Atty Cubed features a split positive center post with deck-milled negative posts, all with post holes that measure 2 mm in diameter. The Atty Cubed features dual staggered air slots that measure 7 mm by 2 mm allowing for a massive amount of airflow.

I purchased this RDA myself for my own collection. I have not been paid to review this product nor was the product provided to me by the manufacturer. I have used this RDA for at least one month before creating this review.

My Thoughts

The Wotofo Atty Cubed comes in a cube box reinforcing the cube theme for this RDA. When you open the box you are presented with the RDA held firmly in place by a foam insert with everything else included below. There was a faint smell of machine oil left behind from the machining process. As always I wash everything in my ultrasonic cleaner for 900 seconds just to make sure its clean and safe to use.

The build quality on this RDA is good. I didn’t notice any scratches on the outside or in the inside of the RDA which is really good. I’ve had some that come scratched out of the box, this is not the case. It comes with a 4-post build deck which I found a little annoying to get a build I liked on it. I’m really particular with coil placement and I don’t like how the coils sit off-set inside a 4-post build deck. With a little bit of creative bending I was able to get my coils centered perfectly on both sides.

I personally would have preferred hex grub screws but this kit comes with mini Philips head screws which are weak and tend to strip easily. Be careful when tightening the screws down, use a proper sized Philips head screwdriver, and you should be fine. The post holes are sufficiently sized for fairly larger coils. I was able to use a clapton coil without any problems at all.

The Wotofo Atty Cubed has 2 wide air slots on either side. You can adjust airflow by rotating the drip tip to open or close the top or bottom air holes on each side. You can run with 1 hole open on each side or both opened to receive full, unrestricted airflow.

I’ve tried multiple builds on this RDA, and noticed that vapor production is great. While the vapor production is great I found the flavor to be lacking. No matter what type of wire / build / resistance I was using I found the flavor to be off. Just not as strong as other RDA’s I have used in the past. You would figure with the massive airflow there would also be massive flavor, this is not the case. I found restricting the airflow a little bit increased the flavor but not by much.

I find that this RDA is really only good if you are looking to setup some kind of look with your square box mod. The fact that this is an actual cube doesn’t change anything from a regular round RDA, it’s just purely aesthetic. If that’s what you are looking for this is the RDA for you, otherwise I’d get something else. While this is a nice, robust RDA I don’t think I am going to use it moving forward.

Pros

  • Robust Design
  • 6 mm deep juice well
  • Split center post
  • Massive Airflow
  • Looks great on square mods

Cons

  • Complex build deck
  • Muted flavor
  • Cubed look is purely aesthetic
  • Gimmicky
  • Only looks good on a box mod
  • Looks bad on round mods
